Every female knows that THE best way to be pampered is when it is being done by someone else. Men, that’s where you come in. Pampered Preggo has gathered the top 10 ways to “Pamper Your Preggo!”
(Fact: this list is good for all women, not just preggos, so take note!)
10. Emotional Support
Pregnancy hormones make a girl crazy, literally. You can help by being patient and emotionally supportive. Make her laugh, give her a hug, listen to her rant. Tip from the PP hubby: don’t become frustrated if the “usual tricks” don’t work as well and just remember that it’s not personal.
9. Relaxation
By this, we mean run her a bath (warm, not hot!) or light some candles (but be sure the scent won’t flare up the preggo nose)! Take care of the house while she gets a moment to relax.
8. Assistance
Such a broad category, but oh so simple. If you’re able, attend doctor visits, sign up for birthing classes and help create a baby registry. We appreciate the support (and the help finding the nearest restroom every 15 minutes).
7. Getaway
AKA a “babymoon.” Plan a weekend(+) getaway for just the two of you before the baby comes. A cozy cabin, a downtown hotel, a relaxing bed and breakfast–anywhere you can get away from it all!
6. Chocolate
Kick yourself (hard) if you didn’t know this one already. Where have you been?!
5. Run the errands
This would include the grocery store, bank, clothes shopping… maybe even shopping for birthday and Christmas gifts while you’re at it.
4. Cleaning
Seriously, take over the household chores and we’ll love you forever (it should have been in the wedding vows, really). Want to really impress your preggo? Tip from the PP hubby: Prop up her feet in a prime location so she can happily watch you clean!
3. Push Present
Google it. Generally, it’s a gift given to the all-mighty preggo as a reward for “pushing” during labor. It’s typically jewelry, but let’s face it–we’ll take just about anything!
2. Cooking
There is nothing better (except tip #1 below!) than being cooked a meal by someone other than yourself! Grill it, cook it, bake it. We don’t care, just put it in front of our face.
1. Massage
This includes ALL body parts, massaged by hubby himself or by a hired professional. Prenatal massages work magic! Best parts? Back, feet and head. But don’t forget the legs, arms and hands
